Global Medical Communications Lead

The Medical Communications (MedComm) Lead, a key member of the Medical Affairs group, will establish and lead this important function to meet the needs of our patients and health care professionals (HCPs). This individual must demonstrate an elevated level of both scientific and medical knowledge, professional integrity and ethical standards for all interactions to establish and maintain Ironshore’s excellent reputation within the medical and pharmaceutical community.

The primary role of the MedComm Lead is to develop and execute medical communications activities aligned with the medical strategy, and to ensure consistent use of core scientific statements across the organization and across different communication channels. She/he will lead the MedComm function and will have strategic and operational oversight over content development (including slide decks, standard response documents, and select training documents), medical review for promotional and non-promotional content, medical congress support activity, and coordination of relevant activities with the Head of Medical Affairs for the medical information call center. She/he will have ultimate accountability for the implementation of the integrated brand MedComm plans. This position requires strong capabilities in both strategy and execution.

She/he will collaborate with the Head of Medical Affairs and other Research & Development (R & D) functional leads of Ironshore and its affiliates to develop and deliver a comprehensive and integrated global MedComm strategy that is aligned cross-functionally.

Senior Medical Writer

Ironshore Pharmaceuticals & Development, Inc. is seeking a full-time Senior Medical Writer to join the Medical Affairs team and work out of either the Toronto or Chesterbrook office. The Toronto office is located in the MaRS Centre, one of the world’s largest urban innovation hubs, and the Chesterbrook office is located near Philadelphia. The Senior Medical Writer will be responsible for researching, writing, and editing scientific publications, as well as assisting in the development of other medical communications materials, as required. The successful candidate will be an energetic, personable, hard-working, solution-oriented, and outside-the-box thinking individual who has the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
